• Stephen P Meyer M.D.
Family Practice Dr. Meyer is board certified by the American Association of Physician Specialists and has been practicing since 1989.
As a native of the Tampa Bay area, growing up in St. Petersburg, Dr. Meyer received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of South Florida in Tampa. After completing his internship in family practice at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) at Fort Bragg, N.C., he spent most of the next year serving as a General Medical Officer in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He returned to Fort Bragg where he was the Officer In Charge of a Troop Medical Clinic, and treated patients at the Acute Minor Illness Clinic at WAMC as well as his family practice patients at the Smoke Bomb Hill Clinic. He also worked at the Emergency Room at Chatham Hospital in Siler City, N.C..
After leaving the Army in 1994, he worked for Capital Health Plan (CHP) in Tallahassee, first in the Urgent Care Department, and then as a primary care provider. While at CHP, he taught first and second year medical students as a preceptor for the Florida State University College of Medicine and continues to teach medical students as well as PA students at NWFMC. Dr. Meyer is a member of the Florida Medical Association, American Medical Association, and American Association of Physician Specialists.
His proudest achievement is being married to "the girl he met at church" as a teenager and being able to worship and serve our Lord Jesus Christ with his wife. They are also the proud parents of two adult sons and three dogs.
Dr. Meyer joined NWFMC in January, 2007.

Our services include, but are not limited to, routine care of newborns, children, and adults, immunizations, and school/sports physicals.
